I haven’t posted this week because for the first time in a while, I struggled with what I heard God say. I was fine with Him speaking directly to me, but as I heard Him say to post it via the blog, I began to question if it were the right message for the times we are in.
After writing something different than what He spoke, my spirit would not allow me to press publish. I went back to God to try to bargain with Him (don’t act like you’ve never done it) and that’s when I realized…He was now silent. Because it’s never my desire to disappoint my Father, I must share what He has said. I pray it penetrates your heart as it did mine.
Here we go. God’s message to me….
Be vigilant against busyness and distractions. Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Don’t allow him to steal your joy, kill your dreams, and destroy your hope. Your hope must be in Me alone. Your dreams are based on what I have shown you. And joy should be your choice each day if you are following my command in Philippians 4:8.
Stay Focused. Everything going on around you is a distraction. Before you take any action, ask Me. Your priority must be doing that which I have commanded you to do. Yes, I know the world’s in trouble. Yes, I see the hatred but you must believe I am still in control. Open your spiritual eyes and see what is really going on. Satan is sitting back laughing because not only have you lost your focus, but those who have been called to do My will are now at odds with one another. Focus. Look beyond today. Look beyond the moment. Focus on what I have called you to do.
I must admit with everything going on in the world, in the media, and on social media, I allowed myself to become consumed. The very instructions God had given me were put on the back burner as I allowed myself to become engulfed in everything happening in the world. Not that the tragedies were unimportant, but nothing should take the place of what God has called me to do.
I pray this speaks to your heart and if you are off track for whatever reason, get back to doing what He has asked of you.
